Banners are created in Photoshop using this template:
[Project]/02_PROJECT_FILES/05_PHOTOSHOP/PH_Banner template (2023).psd
This template contains all possible sizes including the standard items such as the CTA and brandline. This template may contain more sizes than you need deliver, so first step is to remove all the unused artboards from the project. Then, create another artboard called ‘_PREVIEW’ which you drag out over all other artboards like so:

In the layers panel, you place the ‘_PREVIEW’ artboard on the bottom.

If the template doesn’t have the size that you need you can add it by going in the menu → Layer → New → Art board.
Give it the name of the size that you need I.E. 100x100
Then set the size of the art board to 2x the size that you need, I.E. 100x100 becomes 200x200.

Even if the client has only provided a low res png we always make sure that all text is editable. This is a shared responsibility for both media management and the motion designer.
