CreativeX is a platform used by brands to check large amounts of content so that it is compliant with major advertisers. Major clients heavily rely on the Creative X reports that’s why Creative X checking needs to be taken into consideration while working on the planning.
Storyboards (in video format) need to be checked before the shoot so the results can be taken into consideration in PreProduction.
The assets need to go through the platform several times:
In case the platform flags that there are areas for improvement, adjust it and run through the platform again.
To access it we need login credentials per client, since they can have different branding guidelines. The way testing works is by uploading the video’s or statics, select for which platform you want to test and let it run its course.

Testing can take up to 24 hours, so don’t expect results within an hour or so. Also consider this while making the Post production planning and Float bookings.

For Philips PH we only do CreativeX testing for campaigns. We do not need to check the Creative X for Versuni so far. If you want an account you can request one via Maxim (might take some time, depends on how fast the Philips team can process the request.. Philips will then create a new email based on your info. Logging in also requires a 2 factor authentication app for it to work.
Testing assets starts as follows. The editor will export the video’s that he wants tested to the Client WIP folder → [Project]/04_OUTPUT/01_CLIENT_WIPS/CREATIVEX/[yymmdd]/[aspect-ratio/platform]
Then go to the creativeX website. After logging in, go to the Submit New page under Pre-Flight. Here you’ll see next to the menu all the info panels that need to be filled out and on the right the upload panel for your assets.
| Submission Name | Use this standardized naming convention: [Project#][Platform][Aspectratio]_[Version]
E.g.: 25402_Meta_1x1_V01 |
| --- | --- |
| Brand | Pick here which category applies for the testing, for Oral Care use Oral Hygiene etc. |
| Market | Always pick Global, unless specifically told something else. |
| Channel | Pick here for which advertising platform we want to test. Google = Youtube, Facebook = Meta, etc. |
| Placements | Here we choose what kind of ad we’re testing. This can sometimes be unclear because the client doesn’t know. Most of the time you can pick Unknown which is fine. |
| Campaign Objective | Leave as Unknown |
The Submit button will only be clickable after you have filled in the required info + you have uploaded and selected the assets you want to test. Once you’re ready click submit.

If we want to check how our submissions are doing, navigate to the View Submissions page (directly under Submit New). Once the checking is complete you can uncollapse the arrow which allows you to look with more detail into the results. Per submission you can also download a pdf. Please share this with your post producer.

Please see below what criteria the platform checks and consider them while creating the storyboards and the edits. For creative team the most important criteria to pay attention to are:
