This is a cheat sheet for easy mistakes we should avoid when delivering to EG+. Because they localise projects through a different company, it is important everything is as clear and clean as possible when they receive our files. Below you will find a comprehensive list of things to pay extra attention to:
EG+ checklist Videos:
EG+ checklist Premiere:
- The naming of the files should be correct in terms of duration, ratio, etc.
- Filenames match EG+ tracker. If you have to change the duration in the filename to match the actual duration for example, flag this to your post-producer
- Check if the clip fills the entire frame (so no pillar or letter boxing unless intended)
- Check for black frames.
- Check the entire video for Optical Flow artifacting. Optical flow can cause artefacts and this will be flagged by EG+. If there’s artefacting, set the frame interpolation to a different method.
- Are shadows underneath the superlayer being used, make sure that they don’t suddenly appear. Either they should be there the entire clip duration or they fade in.
- Check if the video has VO, a sonic logo, SFX, etc. : these things should then all have their separate stems
- All stems should be exactly the same as what is in the bounce
- No audio stem should be empty
- No difference between clean and master except supers.
EG+ checklist AE:
- Correct use of fonts + add a ZIP of the font to the delivery package if the project is using any new ones
- The work area of a composition should be the exact same as the duration of the video. Use the trim to work area button to correct this.
- Logos/images with text should be vector files or Ai/PSD files. If they are flat pngs, flag it to the post-producer so they can request a new file from the client or have the motion designer recreate the png as an illustrator file.
- Check if all text is editable in case of localizations
