FOLDER STRUCTURE
This guide provides a comprehensive overview of the folder structure adopted at Wenneker, designed with the post-production department in mind. The foundation of our organisational system is arranged both logically and chronologically, mirroring the typical lifecycle of a project. While we've tailored this setup to broadly accommodate the needs of all post-production personnel, we acknowledge the possibility of exceptions. This structure is the culmination of years of accumulated expertise and best practices within our team.
01_INPUT
📂 This our central hub for managing client inputs. This folder is designed to streamline the workflow for post-production professionals by organizing all client-provided materials. These materials range from project briefings to reference images.
It’s important to note that while this folder houses initial inputs, it does not contain assets directly used in production. Should any content from this folder be needed for your work, please ensure it is transferred to the appropriate subfolder within the ASSETS directory.
- 01_DOCS: This is where you’ll find all documents related to project briefings and inputs from the client, including PDFs, Keynotes, and PowerPoints, Cam sheets and QTake reports. If a briefing is not here always check the dropbox folders of the projects.
- 02_CGI: Folders for CAD, MUS, PGD, CIMA & AXF files delivered from client
- 03_FONTS: A collection of fonts that will be used throughout the project. Ensuring consistency in visual communication.
- 04_REFS_FROM_CLIENT: Here, all reference materials sent by the client, including stills and videos, are organised. This repository aids in aligning the production output with the client’s vision and expectations.
- 05_VFX_FROM_SHOOT: This is where you will find non document related files from shoots like LUTs used on set.
This structured approach to managing client inputs ensures that all materials are easily accessible and properly categorized, facilitating a smooth and efficient workflow from the initial briefing to the final production stages.
