Every new production and post-production employee receives a laptop that needs a clean install and assignment to their Google user account. Please follow the steps below. The setup process takes 20-30 minutes of your time. Note that Futurestore requires 2 working days to complete the full setup.
- First, check if the new user is created in the Google Admin suite. Verify this with Liesbeth, Andriy, or Martijn. Double-check that the user is assigned to the Wenneker.Amsterdam organizational unit.
- Email [email protected] with the laptop's serial number, specifying which old user to remove and which new user to assign. Installation must be completed one working day before the new employee's first day.
- The laptop must be connected to the network via ethernet cable, not WiFi, and needs to be powered on and open.
- Daan will perform most of the work, doing a full clean install from the central MDM system.
- He will notify you when he begins and will only need your help to click through the on-screen steps once the installation is complete. Let Daan know when you've finished the final installation steps.
- He will send an email confirmation when the machine setup is complete.
- Only two tasks need to be done locally: connecting the Google account to the mail app and setting up Dropbox.

- In the mail app, click Mail in the menu bar, select accounts from the dropdown, choose Google mail, and enter the credentials.

- Launch Dropbox, follow the setup prompts, and use the production Google Dropbox login.
- Skip any requests to back up local files.
- After successful login, select which folders to sync locally via preferences → sync → selective sync → modify
- Deselect all folders and select only the project 2025 folder
- The laptop is now ready for use.
