Every project has a template folder that must be completed before sending files to an external partner. The goal is to give the external team everything they need to replace shots, grade them, rebuild the edit, and send the project back cleanly.

A finished package must contain:

  1. A Premiere project (main edit hub)
  2. A DaVinci Resolve project (grading timeline)
  3. An After Effects collect (if extra comp work is needed)
  4. Replacement shots (graded + ungraded)
  5. Mattes and tracking files
  6. Any extra assets (supers, sound, clean masters, cgi files etc.)

All cgi related assets are to be collected by a cgi artist and put in the right spot. Ask Jef, Bart or Yoshi to help you with this.

Step 1 — Collect the Replacement Shots

Start by gathering all shots that need CGI replacement. These shots must be clean and ready for the external team:

The goal is to avoid confusion. The external team should receive the shot exactly as it should look before CGI is added.

Template location: /PROJECT/04_OUTPUT/02_RENDERS/06_EXTERNAL/01_OUT

Place each shot in the correct folder. Later, you will also add graded versions as visual reference.

Step 2 — Rename the Shots

All shots must follow this naming format:  [CTN][Clipname][ShotNumber]_EXT-RFS

CTN = Philips product code.
