We have and extra backup of our Rushes at in online storage called Backblaze an AmazonS3 AWS storage. This is being setup by the Futurestore.

If new files are being added to the Elements server on the workspace of the Rushes they will be automatically uploaded to the Backblaze server over night. Around 1TB per night will be uploaded.

How to use it.

After shoot

The producers can bring the transport SSD’s back if all footage of the shoot are being copied to the Backblaze cloud server. Not any sooner for security reasons.

Archiving

We delete the footage during the archiving process. They can only be deleted if the the rushes are both copied to the A and B archive disk and being deleted from the server. (NOTE: Otherwise it will be uploaded again)

Connect to the Backblaze

use FileZilla Pro. This can be downloaded from the App Store via our account. It’s a paid app.

Click on the most left icon in the menu bar.

First time:

• Click on New Site
• in the pop up menu select by
• protocol: Backblaze B2
• Host is: api.backblazeb2.com
• Logon Type: Normal
